Following his collaboration with Converse earlier this year, Rick Owens returns with another shoe collab, this time partnering with Dr. Martens. The two-part collaboration starts with the first installment featuring a new take on the 1460 Bex platform sole boot.
The silhouette, which became famous in the ’90s, is reworked with Rick Owens’ signature star lacing system in a “Taupe” color, while the smooth black leather upper sits atop a double-height Bex sole unit. A dual-branded sock liner and a zip closure are another standout features worth mentioning, while the “Taupe” notes continue onto the taupe heel loop and the taupe and yellow double welt stitching.
The Rick Owens x Dr. Martens 1460 Bex platform boot is due to release via the Dr. Martens web store on March 20. The second installment is scheduled to arrive in May.
